Fort Worth Personal Trainers: The 2 Key Traits of My Most Successful Clients (VIDEO)
Last week I was asked by a new client if there was a common personality trait or habit amongst my most successful clients?
And I get asked this question quite a lot actually.
Over the years I’ve seen really only 2 things common in ALL my most successful clients.
#1 They SHOW UP
#2 They’re RESILIENT
The good thing is each of these traits isn’t dependent on anyone but that one person.
The #1 trait of SHOWING UP is la lot like enthusiasm ‘it covers up a lot of other weaknesses” and that’s awesome.
I’ve NEVER had a successful client that didn’t show consistently.
And on the other side I’ve NEVER had a person that didn’t show up consistently do well.
There’s a direct correlation and you should never underestimate the power of being
the guy or gal who “shows up”
The #2 factor to success I’ve observed is Resiliency.
Resiliency is a key to all weight loss and fitness success.
Because you ARE going to experience resistance
You ARE going to have set backs.
You ARE going to have failures.
And you ARE going to have haters.
This is all part of THE GAME!
Know it, accept it, and be prepared to face it when the time comes…..
Putting the past behind us and looking forward to a better tomorrow.
I encourage you to make no small plans…
This is what one of my favorite personal development coaches Dan Kennedy says about resiliency…
“What’s interesting and instructive is those who are unabashed, who are quickly resilient, who achieve redemption, who have a greater and grander next act.
Over the long haul, this ‘resiliency’ may be the single most important of all personal characteristics. How well you can take a punch. How quickly you can recover. How you can weather storms of criticism or humiliation.
How adept you are at reinvention.
If you want to cultivate a characteristic, this is THE ONE.
And one way to do it is with little stuff. The day to day. A lot of people are easily derailed. Easily put into a funk lasting hours or even days. Easily compromise their agenda. The breeze from a missed punch is sufficient to send them to the canvas. They wonder why they don’t get more accomplished. It’s their glass jaw.”
