Last 2 weeks of the year!
One of the best times you can start preparing your mind for 2018 to be your BEST year ever is right now.
Over the weekend I had a chance to review my progress from 2017.
Last year I set some big new goals, and took the action steps to seeing it through.
Its always good to step back once in awhile and make sure you’re actually going in the right direction.
Take a look at where you are today and where you want to be.
And set those new goals.
Here are 3 simple exercises to cement your goals and increase your odds of success.
Once you know what you want
be it to…
“Lose 5 pounds this week”
“Get to the gym 5 times this week”
“Eat according to my plan for 5 days straight”
First step
1) Write it Down.
Yes, no matter how little or large your goal write it down.
According to a study done by Gail Matthews at Dominican University, those who wrote down their goals had an 80% higher completion rate than those who did not.
2) Reread, visualize, and reenforce
It’s not enough to just write it down.
Like any goods habit you want to review your goal on a regular basis.
I like to review mine in the evening when I’m setting up the schedule for tomorrow.
It helps me prioritize my actions toward my goals.
Reenforcement is key, just getting those day after day repetitions of rereading your goals will move your mind and behaviors in the right direction.
3) Get some Support
Just like I mentioned yesterday this is the key.
You don’t even necessarily have to tell your supporters what your goal is but you do need to get around like minded people.
